The Porcino mushroom is the king of mushrooms, known and appreciated for its mellow taste and great crunchiness. The finest quality of Porcini mushrooms, called “Testa Nera” because of its brownish cap and extraordinarily fleshy texture. Gatullo Testa Nera Porcini mushrooms are processed by hand as soon as they are picked in order to keep all their precious characteristics intact. They are then preserved whole in olive oil. Excellent as a refined appetizer or as an accompaniment to meat dishes.
