“Pasticceria Gattullo” opened its first laboratory at Piazzale di Porta Lodovica, Milan, in 1961; its history of tradition and quality is inextricably linked to a family and its passion for the art of pastry making. For more than 50 years, this family has been giving a sweeter and savory flavor to the moments of taste of the people who visit our bakery or buy a product by Gattullo.
By walking through decades of history in one of the most unique cities in the World, we have learnt to draw inspiration from captivating flavors and suggestions, and to taste them. Being able to combine, in a harmonious way, every creative inspiration with the strict rules of the accurate and delicate art of pastry making is something that can’t always be taken for granted: pastry making always requires excellent raw materials, a strict procedure and respect for both proportions and ingredients.

Mr. Peppino, as everybody called him, was the father of Mr. Domenico and he arrived in Milan in 1926 from the far away Ruvo di Puglia. He worked in the most important bakeries of the city, including San Babila, Sant’Ambroeus and Besana, and he became a master baker.
